Another facet that ruins the experience is player elimination – it’s no fun to have to sit out for potentially hours of gameplay while the person who’s clearly been winning for the duration of the game continues to very slowly whittle away at everyone else’s funds. I’m not a huge fan of standard Monopoly, as I find it to be a very outdated design that’s far too reliant on the luck of the dice to be enjoyable.
